What Happens After You Reach Out
Here’s exactly what the process looks like from the moment you submit the form to the moment the job is done.
1. We Follow Up
After you submit the form, we’ll get back to you — typically within one business day. We’ll confirm your location and schedule a time for the assessment visit that works for you.
2. Free Site Visit
We come to your property and walk the deck with you. We look at the surface, the structure, the railings, and any specific areas you’re concerned about. The visit is always free.
3. Written Estimate
We explain what we found, what we recommend, and what the work costs. The estimate is written, clear, and complete — you know exactly what you’re approving before we schedule anything.
4. Work Done Right
Once you approve, we schedule the job and get it done. We clean up before we leave and walk the completed work with you so you can see exactly what was done.

Questions About the Estimate Process
Common things homeowners ask before submitting the form.
It’s genuinely free. We come out, walk your deck, and give you a written estimate at no charge. There’s no obligation to book, and there’s no minimum job size required to get an assessment. If you decide not to move forward after seeing the estimate, that’s fine — we’d rather you have accurate information than feel pressured into work you’re not ready for.
Not much. Your address, a general description of what you’re noticing with the deck (soft spots, loose railing, weathered surface, specific boards that look bad), and whether you have any timing constraints we should know about. Everything else we figure out during the site visit. You don’t need to diagnose the problem yourself — that’s what the assessment is for.
For a typical residential deck, about 30 to 45 minutes. We walk the whole deck, probe any suspect areas, check the framing and railings, and ask you about anything specific you’ve noticed or want addressed. For larger or more complex structures, it can take longer. We don’t rush through it — a thorough assessment is what makes the estimate accurate.
It helps if you can be there so we can walk the deck together and you can point out any specific concerns. If that’s not possible, we can assess the deck on our own as long as we have access — just let us know during scheduling and we’ll coordinate the access details. We’ll follow up with photos and the written estimate after the visit.
That depends on current scheduling and the scope of your project. Smaller jobs can sometimes be scheduled within a week or two of estimate approval. Larger restoration projects may take a bit longer to get on the calendar. We’ll give you a realistic timeline when we put together the estimate so you can plan accordingly.
That’s exactly what the assessment is designed to answer. We see the full picture once we’re on site — the structural framing condition, the extent of surface damage, and what makes sense given your budget and goals for the space. We’ll give you an honest recommendation rather than defaulting to the more expensive option. If repair is the right answer, we’ll tell you. If it genuinely isn’t, we’ll tell you that too.
